Back from California.
It wasn't a weaving trip but we had some great fiber excursions while we were visiting. Richard actually held a one-on-one spinning class. The highlight was the weather. It is, of course, so different than our New England late winter weather. We were picking Meyer Lemons and Rangpur Limes last Monday as well as pointing out that a lot of what folks have in their yards we consider house plants! In the coming days we will be adding some interesting info about our experience. Stay tuned.

Winter Hibernation
February 18, 2013
It has been quiet in the studio for a long time now. While we have ambitions of starting up once the warm weather starts, we will have to make room for us to work in. Our scarves and shawls are still being sold at Anything Goes in Warwick, RI and pretty soon we'll have a few more items to add and some to replace the more wintery items.Stay tuned.

Hey Everybody,
Happy New Year. Here is a hand woven jacket I made a year ago for a competition in Sweden. It wasn't chosen for the competition so we still have it. It has fresh water pearls and Swarovski crystals worked into the front panel and over the right shoulder as well as on the left cuff as an embellishment. It is fully lined, and the collar is hand spun, hand knit baby alpaca and angora rabbit. Please contact us and we will quote a price.
And a special thanks to Jan Doyle for modeling this piece.

Happy New Year 2013
Ok. Haven't kept up this blog during the past year but it has been one of those years where matters other than spinning and weaving has had to take precedence. The economy hasn't been the kindest to us (and to other crafters) so we are taking a breather from craft shows. However you can find some of our latest work at a great craft and gallery: Anything Goes located at 1161 Main Avenue in Warwick, RI. Go visit them and support local craftspersons and artists!

Winter Begins December 21
With the approaching winter temperatures we slow down our work a bit (the studio is unheated). But we are still working on small projects at home. As we finish them (or not) we'll report in.
We want to wish all our friends and patrons a happy and peaceful holiday season.
